“When I took the photograph, I was looking through the book that the photographer Albert Renger-Patzsch published in 1928, “Die Welt ist schön” (The world is Beautiful). It seemed to me to be a good commentary, perhaps it would look good in the dark background of the photograph. Besides, it had the advantage that it was only an opinion, it didn’t sound like a pronouncement. Thirty years later I did some remakes of this photograph.”(Eduardo Momeñe)
