My work presents a relationship between shapes and spaces denoting the disciplines of life. This comes from my long practice in traditional miniature paintings particular to South East Asia. Pakistan has taken their long and rich history in this medium to another level. This practice takes a lot of discipline portrayed as somewhat of a meditative process through the meticulous repetition of dots, strokes, and mark making. The process continues to hold a sense of mystery and excitement on the daily.
